Description

Would you like to own an amazing turn key bed and breakfast opportunity with world class craftsmanship!

Often companies attempt to create an alluring story with intriguing artistic appeal that will draw many people into their doors. The Cobblestone Manor does just that as the back story and detail kind of makes you think that love was poured into every square inch of this property.

Cobblestone Manor was one of the original homes built in Cardston. The centre two storey structure was built in 1898 for the Joseph Young family. In 1913, Henry Hoet a Belgian finishing carpenter, bought the log house and began to fortify and expand the original structure using local river rocks from Lee Creek.

The interior of the restaurant is finished in beautiful hardwoods from around the world. The hardwoods were utilized from the Alberta Temple and the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton, as Henry worked on both sites.

Henry Hoet was a craftsman of superb talents, and he lovingly applied those skills to his home for over fifteen years. Be sure to see each of the different dining rooms with their distinct patterns and finishes. Also look for the "tiffany glass" lamps and bookcases, as well as the warm and friendly fireplaces in each dining room.

Why did Henry pour such lavishness into a log house in this small town of the Alberta prairie? It is rumored that it was for a sweetheart back in Belgium who never came to Canada... When standing in the dining rooms it is very obvious that Henry was motivated to recreate authentic beauty!

Because of this and many other incredible stories, the Cobblestone Manor has been designated an Alberta Historic Resource, and definitely needs to be visited for its beauty!
